I am so excited to be blogging this newborn photography session. Firstly, I enjoyed working with this mom so much. She is a beautiful and kind young woman and I loved photographing her during both her maternity session and her newborn session. Secondly – well – just look at this baby girl! They don’t get more precious than this and I love her images. And thirdly, I am thrilled to be blogging images taken in my new studio!

If you haven’t heard, Ashley Ward Photography now has a studio location in Five Points at 716 Santee Avenue! We’ve been working on the space for months and it is so exciting to finally be opening the doors to clients! More on the studio renovation and opening later. If you were interested in one of the in-home IttyBitty Natural Baby sessions, this is your last week to book one of those sessions, for any due date this year. After this week all mini newborn sessions will be held at the studio. Full-length newborn sessions will have an option of being held in the comfort of your home or in the studio. In home sessions will allow us to photograph more than your baby and family…it will allow us to capture your life as it is when your baby is welcomed into your family and home. Studio session will be classic and simple in style, keeping the focus on the baby and the relationships in the family. Each session option will provide you with beautiful imagery of your new baby!

The beauty of a woman during pregnancy is so incredible! There is a softness and a beauty that is truly extraordinary. When it is quiet and still, you can feel the bond between mother and child and it is so moving to me to photograph a woman during this time. I am thrilled to say I will be blogging quite a few maternity session over the next few months. Nothing could make me happier. They are one of my favorite sessions:)

The mom-to-be was glowing for her session and it was an absolute honor and pleasure to photograph her. This sweet baby will be arriving any day and I cannot wait!

This little baby boy has some very sweet and furry admirers! I am always excited when my newborn baby photography sessions will include the family dog! And for this session I was excited X 2!! This new baby is a prince with two loving parents and two adoring protectors! Sweet lucky boy!

I always look forward to my newborn baby photography sessions with great anticipation. Each baby I work with is uniquely beautiful and I get such a quiet joy from working with them and observing the bond developing between parents and child. The business of newborn photography can be quite challenging but the rewards are great, and at least once during every session my heart is touched by these beautiful babes deeply. I cannot tell you what an honor I consider it to work with all these parents and babies. I remember my absolute joy over all other emotions when my daughter was born. And bringing someone into your home during that first few weeks is no small act of trust. I am grateful to my clients for their trust in my skill, their appreciation of my art, and faith in my character. Thank you for believing in me and for commissioning me to create photographs for you that capture the magic and beauty in your lives!
