We have had some crazy rain around here, haven’t we?! Last week was pretty incredible and mother nature forced me to reschedule a couple of outdoor shoots. And as luck would have it, two of my newborns were just born as well! So I will be one very busy photographer this week! I wanted to make some booking and session information available and think now would be a great time to do that.

This summer I ran a promotion for demi family sessions. My clients and I really enjoyed these sessions and it worked out great for people who wanted an update to their portraits and to document their child at a particular age, maybe wanted to be able to send out a portrait holiday card this year, but just weren’t committed to a full session and deluxe products. So, I have changed up the offering just a tad and have a new portrait experience for clients looking for a smaller version of the session and products but with the same high quality images.

Demi Family Sessions – Fall 2011 $750

The Demi Family Session is available for up to 5 family members and will be held on weekday evenings (Monday-Friday). Sessions will last approximately 30-40 minutes.

I truly appreciate you and hope we will be working together many times over the years. And thank you to those who visit my blog and support me through your words on my blog and by sharing my business with others. I am so grateful for your kindness. So happy to be sharing this session tonight! This session was shot this weekend and is another family I photographed for the first time last year. I cannot tell you how it thrills me to have my clients return to me for family, child, and newborn photography sessions. I love seeing how the children grow and the families blossom.

Last year’s session with this family was so much fun, with most of the images being taken in their home. This year, we met at one of my favorite outdoor locations. The whole family looked wonderful and was a pleasure to work with, just as last year. And could you not just die over these little princesses!?

Mom and Dad, I hope you enjoy your preview. Tell your friends and family members to check out the images and leave a little love on your blog post. Blog love makes me very, very happy and I like to say thank you to my clients for sharing my work. If you get 35 comments from unique visitors (with a unique email address), you can choose your favorite image for a 5×7 print on me! If you get 50 comments, it’s an 8×10!! Enjoy:)

ALSO! Thank you to those who let me know there was an issue with the comments on the blog not working! I found the issue and it should be working great now. If you have any problems, please drop me a note at ashley@ashleywardphotography.com. Thanks!!

One of my favorite newborns from last year was back last week for a baby and family session! I have been looking forward to the session for a long time. Knowing how fun, relaxed, and precious the family is, I just knew I would love our session. And I do! Mom and Dad are just so natural with their baby girl and I love the connections I was able to capture just by watching them through my lens.

I have been waiting patiently all weekend to share this session. Well, maybe not TOO patientley…..I did post a couple of images on my Facebook page on Friday because I just could not wait to share. Actually, I have been doing that quite a bit lately. I’m kind of an instant gratification kind of girl and it just feels good to get an image or two up right away. So, for first looks at future sessions, that would be the place to be;)

Anyway, when I was spoke with this couple on the phone about their maternity photography and newborn photography sessions, I knew I was going to love working with them. I could tell they were kind, considerate, gentle…….you know how you can just tell in their words and the way they use them, their tone of voice? I could hear their excitement and anticipation. And I could tell how important the sessions would be to them too. And meeting them just confirmed everything. They were so sweet and willing to do whatever I asked and trusting in my vision for the session. I have to say, I am so thrilled with the results. And it just made me even more eager for their already-loved baby girl to arrive! I can’t wait to photograph them again:)
