Here is another of my Itty Bitty Family photography sessions held prior to the holidays. This session was almost canceled due to the rain! It was touch and go and we actually experienced some misting at one point during the photo shoot, but we pushed through and I am so glad we did! I adored working with this family. They were so nice and happy and eager to participate. And these kids are two of the best kids I have ever photographed! They were a dream. And while brother was old enough to take direction well and cooperate fully in a session, little sister is very young and you never know what you will get at this age. But this little girl was just amazing! She took direction so well I had a hard time believing I was working with someone so young. I know that mom did a really wonderful job preparing the children for the session. But I was amazed and touched when this little girl actually cried because the session was over!! We actually set up a few more shots for her just because I couldn’t bare to disappoint such a sweet child:) And big brother was the sweetest sibling…..and such a charmer!
I felt honored to photograph this family and hope I will again someday soon:)

CalebZGasser: This website definitely has all the information and facts I wanted concerning this subject and didn't know who to ask.

Have you heard about the studio?! I am thrilled to share that I will be opening a studio in Five Points very soon! The space needs a little work but we are making progress and I just cannot wait to open the doors and start creating some beautiful portraiture in my own studio! There will be some changes and some fabulous new session offerings. I can’t wait to share it all with you! Soon, I promise!

This week I am going to spend just a little time catching up on some of my pre-holiday Itty Bitty Family sessions that I didn’t get around to blogging during that time. This first post of the week features a sweet family with two handsome boys. Dad wasn’t able to make it for the shoot but I know he must have LOVED receiving these portraits as a holiday gift. His beautiful wife, mother and two sons were wonderful to work with. They were so excited about the shoot and they were a pleasure, taking direction like eager experts. I loved working with them:)

A sweet and precious baby girl, an adorable fur-baby, and parents who are an absolute pleasure….what photographer could ask for more! Truly I enjoyed every moment with this lovely family. Although baby girl wasn’t sure she wanted to cooperate, we eventually made her comfortable and happy enough to make a most excellent subject for her newborn photography session.

This was a full newborn session and so there was quite a variety of family images as well as portraits of just baby. I am so happy to be sharing a portion of them here:)

Erin Smith: The photos are beautiful and really capture the spirit of the Broome family. I'd suggest, though, that it's not to hard to make this family look gorgeous! (I might be biased.)

Renee Dunford: Love Miss Elliott!!!!! And Lobo too!!!!!! This is a very special family and the pictures were BEAUTIFUL! Thank you for doing such a great job. The basket picture is my fave. Love her expression.

Brittney: I absolutely love these pictures! Beautiful family!!

David Atkinson: AWESOME !!!!!!

Michael G: absolutely beautiful pictures

Belinda Toney: These are absolutely adorable! I especially love the one with the puppy and little Elliott in the basket - soooo Sweet!

Erin Dilday: That black and white one makes me want to cry. So precious!

Shirin Hook: Great pictures of the Broome family. My favorite pic of Elliott is the one with her hands under her chin...so cute and sweet. The first family photo is my 2nd choice...Good luck choosing...they are all Good:)

It’s about time I shared another precious newborn baby photography session on my blog! Little man was 2 weeks old the day I visited him and his mommy and daddy at their beautiful home in downtown Columbia. He was a good boy and the whole family, I am sure you will agree, look amazing in their photos.

Every session is unique and no matter how simple or how grand the home or the decor or the wardrobe…..no matter if it’s a baby boy or a baby girl (or both!)…..no matter if it is an Itty Bitty Natural Baby Session or a Deluxe Newborn Session…..no matter if it is a firstborn or there are siblings or pets, I love working with families to give them beautiful portraiture of this blessed time in their lives.

Things I loved about this session:
Baby boy was exceptionally handsome with WONDERFUL hair
Mom & Dad were very easy to work with and took all my direction and coaching extremely well
Beautiful home decorated for the holidays
A pet who agreed to briefly pose with baby…..this time a CAT!
A beautiful nursery filled with furniture and lighting from Restoration Hardware

I hope you enjoy looking through the images. There are more pre-holiday sessions to blog and another newborn session next Monday. And if you are interested in booking a session with Ashley Ward Photography, I am currently taking appointments for January-May:)

Shelby: Amazing session with this handsome little guy and his family. Gorgeous home, beautiful nursery, and that CAT!!! Awesome work Ashley!
