So I called this post surprise because this little girl was just full of surprises. Well, at least one REALLY good surprise. You see, her mommy booked her newborn photography session and her maternity photography session quite some time in advance. She really looked forward to them. And as the maternity session approached I was getting terribly excited too! I had never photographed a maternity session with a HORSE before! I couldn’t wait to get out there and create something special for this beautiful and kind mom-to-be. When the day of the session arrived, it was VERY overcast and we decided to wait another week. On our next planned day it was muddy from rains and so COLD! Mother nature was being just downright disagreeable. So we rescheduled again. And when the next appointment came, we were determined we had to make this happen. Mommy was starting to get uncomfortable and it was time. The session went great! We had a wonderful time. And I was thrilled with the images.

So thrilled in fact that I rushed to share one of the images the very next morning! I couldn’t wait to post it online for mom and her family and friends to enjoy. I posted it on Facebook (where most of my first looks at sessions take place) and mom was so happy! But it seems I wasn’t the only one who couldn’t wait for something that day. Little Miss M could not wait to make her big debut in the world! YES! Mom gave birth the very next day!!!! WOW! Was that cutting it close or what!? She came a full 5 weeks early. She is healthy and happy and all is well.

I tell mom what a fantastic story this will be to tell Miss M when she gets older. And the best part? She will have these images of her glowing mom the day before M was born to go along with that story! It makes me so happy to know how much these portraits will grow in value as the years go by:)

Adorable! The perfect word for this twosome! At 18 months old they are just as cute as they can possibly be. Busting with personality, these two beautiful children really kept me on my toes but I loved every second of it. I’ve just received their prints from this session and they are just gorgeous!

I visit the family home for newborn sessions all the time but it’s been a while since I was called in to photograph a couple of little girls in their rooms. I have to say, I will NEVER tire of this kind of session! I just love photographing clients in their homes……the place where they play and love and grow. And especially when I have two ADORABLE little girls like this to photograph!!! Oh my goodness! Could they get any sweeter? I think not! And the girl’s rooms where the PERFECT place for their photography session……a place where they could just be themselves, in all their wild, adorable, sweet glory!
